SHIFT QA

Description

Dew Valley Foods is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance (QA) Technician to join our Quality Team on a 4-week rotating shift cycle. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that all products meet food safety, quality, customer, and legal requirements while supporting production operations across all shifts.

SHIFT PATTERN:

This role operates on a 4-week rotating shift cycle, which will include:

Day shifts
Evening shifts
Night shifts
Weekend working

Specific shift times will be discussed during the recruitment process.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Conduct routine quality inspections and audits throughout production.
Monitor and verify compliance with HACCP, GMP, and food safety procedures.
Perform product sampling, testing, and quality checks in accordance with company standards.
Complete CCP, metal detector, and verification checks.
Monitor product quality, packaging and labelling requirements.
Maintain accurate quality records and production documentation.
Identify, investigate, and report non-conformances.
Verify cleaning and hygiene standards across the facility.
Work closely with production teams to drive continuous improvement and quality awareness.
Assist with internal, customer, and third-party audits as required.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Previous experience in a food manufacturing or food production environment.
Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and food safety systems.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
Good communication and organisational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Flexibility to work a rotating 4-week shift cycle.
