Today's emphasis on healthy eating, and a growing awareness of the dangers of too high a salt intake struck a chord with Dew Valley.
In particular, government campaigns, magazine articles and dedicated web sites have informed the public of the dangers, and many of our institutions and companies have been encouraged to reduce the salt levels present in their catering menus and product formulations.
We worked hard on preparing new curing and production processes to develop a cooked bacon with the eating qualities and high flavour impact you expect from Dew Valley, but with a significantly reduced salt content.
